Training Programme for HODs of Prominent Education Institution

Dear friends,

 

Let me share with you my unique achievement of the last week. On the last Wednesday I conducted the training programme for one of the top 10 engineering colleges of Bangalore. The uniqueness of the programme was that it was only for the HODs. It was on the leadership.

 

Education sector has few unique problems. Faculties not necessarily join out of choice but by compulsion. Other problems like lack of positive thinking or motivation is also there. As far HODs are concerned, at times they lack administrative or behavioural skills. Against this backdrop inculcating leadership amongst them acquires paramount importance.

 

I conducted 1-day leadership programme for the HODs. Out of 18 participants, there were 9 PhDs. Training teachers is no easy task but I handled it effectively and many HODs thanked me at the end of the programme for taking them to the new world of managing their staffs.
